Dr. Sang An PT, DPT, CFMT

The therapist patients with chronic pain ask for by name.

Sang An's path to physical therapy started with his own back injury. In his early twenties, while playing soccer in Korea, he sustained a traumatic low back injury that left him unable to walk upright for nearly a year. Every doctor he saw recommended surgery. He found a different answer.

Determined to understand and treat his own dysfunction, Sang moved to the United States to study physical therapy. He earned his Doctorate from Long Island University in New York and went on to complete certification as a Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT) through the Institute of Physical Art. He has also completed coursework in DNS through the Prague School of Rehabilitation. Today, with his own chronic condition fully managed without surgery, he specializes in patients who have been told their only option is the operating room.
