Dr. Alina Fatakhova PT, DPT
PNF Level 4 — one of a small number of clinicians in the country with this training.
Alina did not take the standard path. After earning her Doctorate from Long Island University, she moved across the country to spend six months in residency at one of the most rigorous neuromuscular rehabilitation programs in physical therapy — the Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation residency in Vallejo, California.
She emerged with a Level 4 PNF Certification — a credential that requires a level of precision in handson work that is difficult to develop outside a formal residency. Building on that foundation, she has completed extensive coursework in Functional Manual Therapy through the Institute of Physical Art and is sitting for her CFMT certification this year. Like the rest of the Equilibrium team, she has also trained in DNS through the Prague School of Rehabilitation.
Clinical focus
Neuromuscular rehabilitation, post-surgical recovery, complex motor control cases, patients who have not responded to standard manual therapy approaches.
